Speeding toward my next Shutterstock tier

Posted in Uncategorized on July 31st, 2008 by Administrator

I am now within $3 of my next Shutterstock tier.

This July has been my BME (best month ever) on the site. What surprised me most was the boost I got during the Fourth of July weekend.

The Think Big Challenge has evolved to become the Marathon challenge. It now includes 61 site contributers including photographers, illustrators, and footage creators. All of us will be continuously adding new pieces through December 2008. The number one position will go to the person who adds the most pieces by the finish line.

Since starting in challenges at Shutterstock I’ve added more than 500 images to my gallery.

My total gallery size is now 734.

Three new Christmas tree holiday image up this week:

I’m now including both the vector and jpg versions of my images at Shutterstock. The links above are to the vector files.

Dreamstime portfolio now has 202 images

I’m building up a Dreamstime version of my Shutterstock portfolio. So far there are 202 images online. Eighty of those just went online yesterday.

Dreamstime allows a person to buy images individually. Instead of buying a subscription, images are priced by size. Shutterstock has the advantage if you need to buy a large amount of images. Dreamstime is better if you don’t need to buy as many.

So far I’ve added some of my bestsellers from Shutterstock and my newest images to Dreamstime. I plan to fill in the rest over the next months.

Here are the 202 images I have up so far.

Past halfway mark to my first goal at Shutterstock

Posted in Uncategorized on July 6th, 2008 by Administrator

I now have 626 images in my Shutterstock gallery. Most images are vectors with some 3d and standard illustration. My first big goal is to have 1,000 images up. Forty-seven new images went up this week. I’m now working on 88 more images I hope to have up for next week. My full goal for my Shutterstock gallery is 10,000 images.

I have a mere 9,374 left to go.

Also I’m getting closer each day to reaching my next tier.
